If memory serves me, Bruce lives just west of Toronto but I can't remember for sure the exact town or city.

Hello Keith,,I live near St.George,,about a half hr. from the U.S border. That's in the South-Western part of the province..You probably have been down this way..I've played in Woodstock a couple of times,,but that was quite a few years ago....Cheers,,Carson

Yes Carson I know where you are, I knew people in St Andrews at one time.
I lived west of Woodstock on a farm, about 10 minuts from the border, so I spent a lot of time in Houlton Maine when I was young.

Hello Carson, Thankyou for your kind comment! I'm from Newfoundland & living here in Burlington ontario which is close to Hamilton. I go down east every summer usually for the month of July & past through your beautiful province. I no longer have the Fulawka am now playing a 79 Emmons original & it sounds real good.
Where about in NB are you?
Regards,
bruce

Hello Bruce: For some reason,,I thought you might be from down this way, although Newfoundland is quite a distance from where I live..I used to live in Burlington too,,and played a little bit up around there around 1985-86..Did most of my playing with Larry Mattson at that time...You are doing a great job,,and keep up the good work...BTW..I mentioned where I live in an above post...Cheers,,,Carson

Bruce,,Larry and his wife Lillian are both from here..They grew up not too far from where I live..He was always a good singer and a great guy to work with..They are both wonderful people...They moved to Ontario when they were both quite young and raised six children,,before moving back here to try the country life again...They were here for about 4 years, during which time we played music with a 4 piece band...They decided they would move back to Ontario and Larry went back to work at Ford..
He was a good song writer and done real well with "Queen of the ball" and "I've been wondering"...I haven't heard from either of them for about 2 years,,and I have lost their address and Phone No. Laura was a darn good singer too,,and wrote a song called "blue collar dollar",,which did quite well for her.......Cheers,,,Carson

Hi Bruce old friend...hope you are fine and that things are going good for you.Haven't heard from you..things must have sped up at Ford.
Anyway guys..Bruce is a good friend of mine and I can vouch for the fact that he is a great player AND teacher. Just listen to this tune that he dedicated to me a couple of years ago...not only does he play great but his wife Kathy has a heavenly voice as well.

Wayne,Thankyou for your kind words & I'm sure you would have a lick or two for me as well:) I haven't met any steelers in N S but nice to know there are some down east that love to pick the steel.I love travelling down through the maritimes & where hopefully I'll hang hang my hat one day.
Bent my friend ,Thankyou for your kindness, It's been very busy here at the plant since the beginning of the year, been here 7 days a week pretty much since then, should get back to normal in a week or two as we finish our 2013 launch.I will call you soon as I would love to come to the shop for a visit & catch up.

Thanks again Carson, for this post took me back to when I first started playing the steel which will be 22yrs march 16th & thinking of all the great friends I've made & so many willing to share their knowledge & passion of the steel.A great community I very happy to be a part of.

Warmest regards,
Bruce
