How many pedal steels - which one ?

I've got three pedal steels-1974 Emmons student model steel-three pedals, one knee
a 2004 GFI Ultra D-10 with eight pedals, five knees
2010 Jackson BlackJack Custom- three pedals, four knees

The Jackson is my main guitar because it's my best one. It's got the Sho-Bud style fretboard, and the pedals are very smooth. Its' pickup is a Shot Jackson pickup. This guitar's got such a clear, mellow tone that is absolutely amazing! It's got a classic sound, similar to the 1960s Sho-Bud steel guitars.

I've got a Fulawka S10 with 4&5 and that's my only one. But I've got the D10 bug and I'm seriously considering a ZB if I can find one that's mechanically sound.

Loaded D10 Mullen and D10 Zum. 8+8 and 8+7. Set up the same basically. Both great playing and sounding guitars. Play either one any time. Which ever one is here or closest to the door on the way out. Very similar. Can't go wrong with these 2.

I have an 84 Sho-Bud Pro II 8x5 red, and a 93 D-10 Mullen 8x5 red, The Pro II has tone to the bone, the 93 Mullen just has tone.

My Sho-bud stays at Church ,but is the steel I play at our Gospel singins. my Mullen is my practice steel.

I have a 1973 round front Sho-Bud LDG with barrels behind 2-hole pullers, and a MCI Range Expander. Both steel are 3 X 4. The LDG is newer-to-me, so I was playing it almost exclusively, tweaking and generally getting used to it. I just sent the pickup to Jerry Wallace for a rewind, so I'm playing the MCI until the pup gets back. Both are nice steels and have their advantages.

I mainly use a S-12 PP Emmons universal
The Carter S-12 is set up for practice at home.
A S-10 ZB with modern mechanics.

'74 Emmons D-10 p/p - white
Two '81 Emmons D-10 p/p's - black - one is my goto workhorse
'83 Emmons D-10 p/p - red
Early '70's Emmons D-12 p/p - black
Three early '70's Emmons S-10 p/p's
Two Emmons student models - p/p tone? These are it.
'83 Zum D-10 - used for the longest time but needs a checkup now.
Looking at another p/p today

Lots of amps
6-strings - Another list for another time.

Dave Peterson of Chicago does all the work and restorations on my push-pulls. Dan Erlewine's shop for archtop & other 6-string work.

Don' ask me about lap steels & resonator guitars. I have too many (well, maybe not so .......).

I have a 1972 Emmons Dbl-10 P/P 8+4......faded tatoo blue/green laquer....with standard pickups.

I also have a 1956 Bigsby four neck w/8 strings each, and a total of six pedals.

I have a Stage One and a 1974 MSA extended E9th that's totally in pieces. I'm enjoying the Stage One so much I haven't been motivated to work on the MSA much but plan to have it finished by late spring. Kevin Hatton, I'll be contacting you about a new case...

I have 4:
'06 Mullen RP U-12.I practice on it at home and take it to work.

'75-ish Mullen S-10 frame and a half.I take it to rehearsal when I can't get out of going to rehearsal

'80 Sho-Bud Super Pro and '70 MSA Classic-both D-10s.Good guitars,been gigged quite a bit and I still enjoy playing them,but there really isn't room to have all 4 set up,so those 2 stay in the case most of the time.Reece was kind enough to look up the MSA's S/N for me here a couple of years ago.

I have 2 MSA Millenniums. They are identical in every way except the color. One is white and one is a lovely purple burst.

I live on an incline and have to contend with stairs to get from my house to the street, so I keep one in the house for woodshedding, and one in the garage at the bottom of the hill.
