I want to help. I see the forum heavy hitters donating. I prefer Jagwire strings. I've never met the Hullihens.

I don't want to donate if Jagwire is going down. I understand there are some personal family issues sucking up Hullihen life energy (time and money). Mr. Hullihen's post expressing gratitude left the door open to shutting down. I imagine he's not sure what the outcome of this will be.

If someone will send me an email explaing the situation specifically it would help. I won't betray your trust.

I would bet that is the reason why you didn't get a receipt.

That may be; but they said it hasn't showed up there, either.

Danny is a stand up guy. We should all respect the family wishes for keeping the issue private......The company is just stalled for the moment.....Donations are a way to help them through their family crisis so that they can again focus their business efforts on the greatest strings available for the instrument.

Talked with Danny

Post by Mike Mantey »

Well I talked with Danny and we are getting close. We are about half way there to raising enough money to fill all the current back orders (give or take), and it will also put them into the situation to get back on track for future orders.

The business is struggling at the moment, but will not DIE...(I will make sure of it) Jagwire Strings are some of the greatest strings in the World and the people behind them are as well. When you live, work, and deal with the steel guitar community you develop those special relationships, that truly you can only find with all of us and maybe Church.

Anyway, they are getting close and all the donations that have been sent are sitting in their paypal account; until there is enough to place their big wire order to produce the Great Strings.

So come on guys, we are almost there, we need about $2,000 more is all. So come on all you endorsees of Jagwire, I know they have taken care of so many people for many years.

To try and help more. I will donate an additional $100 for every guitar deposit/order placed through Mullen Guitars until March 1.

I can remember Danny being the first to offer to refurbish a steel guitar that someone got burned on in a sale. Danny offered to do it for free! It was resolved in court, but I'll always remember Danny being a stand-up guy.

Don'l like the thought of putting another brand on my guitars after all the great experience with Jagwires.

Thanks for the update on where things stand. Have to see if I can come up with a bit more.

Man you guys are Great. I hope Danny will keep us updated as to the progress. Wish we could get one of those thermometer fund raiser things going.

Am sending another $100 for a new order today.

Well I actually had an extra 100 bux(I am a professional musician you know..ha.) I was going to send this last week; but my Baby Emilee(not even 2 yet), came down with 103.2 fever and had to take her to doctor with no insurance; so there goes that extra 100 bux.

If you can you can if not than not. I am not looking to get any credit here (please make that known), just trying to help a friend and a Great company that this industry can't afford and doesn't what to lose.

Praise be to all of you.

Another small splash in the bucket just sent.

Mike, do I understand from your 2/16 post that an order for Jagwire strings serves the same purpose as the donations? If so, I've been waiting for an opportunity to order.

I'm very grateful for all the people who've donated and who expressed concern. Thanks very much.
