If this has already been done, my apologies. I've been thinking for some time about what fun it would be to use Auto Tune on the lap steel. I finally had some time, downloaded a trial period version of the Antares Auto Tune plug in, played to some loops, and the result is, as I hoped it would be, pretty funny. (And I didn't get into the other available scales, like Arabic 1, which is wicked.)
So, funny or ... quite obnoxious, depending on your perspective.
I send it out to Steinar, and hope it puts a smile on his face.

Nice job, Don! I've thought about trying to do this sort of thing before with a lap steel, but you've done much better than I would have done.

Joe Satriani used on his on his last album. To really benefit from it, you have to rethink how and what you play. He used it like a stomp box or FX rack gear.
