Red Rajah picks

These are not yet available. Chuck sent me a set of prototypes. I really like them a lot for one main reason. They don't slip off your fingers. I haven't noticed any difference in tone between these and the chrome BJ picks I've used for years.

I hope Chuck starts manufacturing these and makes them available. I think a lot of players who have had problems keeping their picks on will like them as much as I do.

So where can we get the Red Rajah picks from??? Or encourage the fellow to sell them???

As I said, they are not yet available, but they were made by the same guy who makes the red rajah bars. I'm sure if he gets enough requests he'll start manufactureing them.

I tried these fingerpicks out in the Norris Music room at the TSGA show. These picks fit my fingers perfectly right out of the box with no bending or shaping. Too bad I was on such a tight budget or I would have picked up a pair.

I've been field testing a set of Red Rajah picks for the last day or two.
They fit my fingers nicely and don't seem to slip off.
I didn't notice any adverse affect to tone or playability.
They look cool to me.
I'll be keeping them in my pick rotation for a while and see how they last.
I found at least one red flake on my guitar, so I'm curious how long the red stuff will last.

I also tried a Black Rajah bar and it was pretty nice also. Real smooth.

I A-B'd a John Pearse cryogenic bar with the Red Rajah I own and the red is definatly quieter when sliding across the wound strings, but the Pearse had a brighter tone when playing the wound strings.
They both feel fine in my hand.

How well will this "stuff" stick on the pick when you bend them to fit your finger and playing angle?

Check out my solution to fingerpick slippage in FINGERPICK HELP by Jim Whitaker located in this [PEDAL STEEL] section. These picks never slip off.
