Finally made it to the print shop with a flash drive . The printed & lamenated copies are AMAZING !

Thank you for sharing this invaluable "quick reference".
I have 4+ years of "steelin'", and yet, I study your spreadsheet daily, searching the fretboard, for "new" ways to accompolish "old" sounds I want.

I have started a chord chart for the C6th but I haven't had time to check the (music) math. And I'm finding the layout a little more challenging. I just started picking at the C6th this summer. My copedent has a high D so I'm not sure how different that would be for you. When the chart is ready I'll be sure to let the forum know.

Thanks Patricia, I've been lookin for a good C6th chart. I think most C6 players use a D for 1st string. I've got your E9, great work! I'll be watching the forum for your C6 chart. I sure want one when you get it ready.

A big thanks to Patricia for this chart. She sent me one a couple of years ago and, for a music theory neophyte like me who plays by ear, it gave me the structure to be able to really learn the pedal steel and helped immensely with my limited knowledge of theory.
I just got a Carter universal E9th/B6th (12 string 7&5) which I can still play on the E9th side and learning stuff on the B6th side playing by ear. I would really like to have something like Patricia's E9th chart for this guitar. I've looked at some of the posts of the more advanced players but it might as well be in greek. I'm just one of those guys who absolutely hates to sit down with tablature and figuring out chords is just agony. I do enjoy figuring things out by ear which may be near impossible on the psg.
Any chord charts out there for an old bluegrass picker? |

| ....and I did print Patricia's E9th chart out on my large format printer 24" x 36" which is great. I'm a contractor so I just happened to have the printer. You can get them printed at most Kinkos or other copy shop, most have the large format printer, but it will cost you probably $5. |

I've been away from my PSG for a couple of years, and am forcing myself to make time to play every day.. Slow going, as I have not put enough serious time into it to just be fluid. I misplaced my old chart, and have forgotten much of what I once knew, but your chart is great.. I like it better than any other system I have seen.. Great work, and many thanks to you.
