Hey Robert,
Your show at Wetlands in NYC was the first I ever saw a pedal steel on stage. Ive been playing steel about 6 years now, and you've been a great inspiration. I grew up in Englewood and used to record at a studio on S. Clinton in E. Orange around the mid 80s. Great to have you on the forum! :D

Glad to see you here Robert. You're a ground beaker and pedal steel is making new inroads because of where you've taken it.

Welcome to the Steel Guitar Forum, Robert. I'm a long-time fan too.

I enjoyed the recent YouTube video where you described your "trade secret" equipment. If there are any stomp boxes or other gear that you think a lot of steel players would like, feel free to post about it in the "Electronics" section. Some of us like those little toys as much as you do!

For anyone who has Dish Network,- at 2:30 PST on HDNET is a concert of RR and the Family Band.
That's today, the 29th in about a half an hour.
I have my DVR set to record it...it should be pretty awesome!

Hey Robert Randolph! Nice to see you here.
I really dig the way you play those rockin pentatonic leads on the steel. Been trying to play along with your solo on Buddy Guy's Out in the Woods for a while, now. That solo really turned my head the first time I heard it, I couldn't tell what in the hell was going on there.

Looks like there's a lot a love among us for a fellow steel player who has made it unconventually as a typical country player in the Style that Robert has done..This is great and because of this we are ensuring the longevity of the wonderful instrument called "Steel Guitar".. Maybe we could even get Robert and his family band to gig at the opera...? I would much rather see Roberts new direction on a stage in Nashville than the likes of the Taylor Swifts out there destroying country music into a pop culture that does not belong there!!! Rock on Mr Randolf!!!

I set my DVR for the HDNET show with Robert today ..Thanks Jay for the heads up!!!

Welcome aboard. I was at a session, recently, and when I took out the pedal guitar, the first thing the "techs" talked and asked about was yourself. You've been a major plus for our community.

G'day Robert. I believe it was Duke Ellington that said there's only two kinds of music...
good and bad. You my friend play the good kind!
Cheers to ya from Australia.

Robert, it's really great to have you on the forum........

Now, it would be excellent if we could get you to play a slot at either the St Louis or Dallas conventions.

Again, welcome aboard :!: :!: :!:
