Anyone ever mount lugs and legs on a Peavey Power Slide? If so, where were they ordered from and any mounting info is appreciated.
Thanks,
Lenny |

I put these flanges and legs on a Loni Spector gutar.
I think I picked up the items off e-bay.

Hey Erv:
Nice job on installing the lugs for the legs on the lap steel. I checked ebay but nothing turned up. What did you post for an item on ebey?
Thanks,

I just did a search on e-bay for "lap steel legs" and it turned up several posting for legs and flanges.
You can get 3 flanges and 3 legs for about $200.

I recently purchased legs and sockets from Bobbe Seymour at Steel Guitar Nashville. The quality is excellent. Use a Forsner drill bit to set the lug of the socket into the guitar or stand. Quick and easy. I simply used a piece of 2 x 8 pine as the basis of a stand. I covered it with naugahyde and use velco to keep the steel guitar on the stand. It is very secure and there is no modification to your guitar other than some velcro tape, which is easily removable. Use the 2" wide industrial velcro tape found commonly in hardware stores. |

Thank you Karl and an excellent idea. Bobbee just responded to inquiry and I will order the lugs and legs from him.
This forum is great!

Len, just a tip - if you cover the stand with naugahyde, get a can of 3M spray adhesive, the permanent kind, and use that to securely adhere the naugahyde to the wood base, Use a staple gun to attache the edges underneath the board. That adhesive really helps keep everything in place, especially when peeling off the guitar from the stand at the end of the gig. It does not take much velcro to keep the guitar securely in place. My only regret about this approach is that another perfectly innocent Nauga had to be sacrificed to feed my steel guitar habit. |

Hey Karl:
I'm an animal lover myself so I feel your pain about sacrraficing a Nauga for it's hyde.
