I would hope That Everybody who has ever played at Saluda Would Show up this year and Make this one big Blow out as a Tribute to Buddy Walker and Charles Reece Two great Brothers who started this all in 1987. Saluda is one of the Senior Shows in the country. I know I will be able to make a little of this one on Saturday night before I go on to Charleston to my Daughters Home.

Well looks like the schedule works so i can be there sunday!

Everybody needs to make an extra effort to get a good crowd for the 100th show!
It takes alot to put this together so thx Jerry, Joe and David! I'm looking forward to it!

Oh yea, now that i played the Opry Jerry you will have to buy me a diet coke for playing! :P

I will attempt a famous C6 tune i've been working on for months. If nothing else it will give you good players a laugh! :P

Thanks to Herby Wallace and Georgia pickers

Post by Bob Strickland »

In addition to Buddy Walker and Charles Reece, we should thank Herby Wallace and all of the Georgia pickers who have made numerous trips to Saluda. I hope they can all come and make show #100 special.

The Saluda show is one of the best. Thanks to the Southern Steel Guitar Convention (and especially to Jerry) for keeping this tradition alive. I always remember the love for this show that Charlie and Buddy gave. Congratulations on reaching the amazing 100 show milestone.
