Alright, if you were expecting to click on this thread and see a link to Buddy Emmons playing Buddy's Boogie, then I'm afraid you'll be deeply disappointed.

This is a link to a live video of myself playing it as a special guest with a local band called the Saddle Tones, who I enjoy playing with when I get a chance. This is rough and unrehearsed and my first time playing it with a band. The sound quality is not very good, unfortunately, and neither is my playing, but I have a bitchin' shirt.Laughing

Oddly, would not play on my PC (Windows XP). I see the still image, click play, and the image goes to black (as if loading the file) but nothing ever happens... Sad (But at least I got to see the shirt...)

Hmmm...it's Flash video. Were you guys able to watch the Tommy Morrell videos? It's the same format as those videos. Or maybe you should just consider yourselves lucky. Wink

I'm a windows 7 and it played just fine. Sound quality is a little rough, but that don't have nothin to do with the fine work you did. Mighty fine.

Same here. See the "still" of the shirt, but the video will not play. The Tom Morrell videos played fine. I must have some "Flash" glitch for this particular video. The shirt really is killer, however.

Same here. Windows 7. The Morrell vids play fine, this one, not so much.

OK, I uploaded the video to YouTube. I prefer the quality of my own little Flash videos, but what good is it if no one can see it?

Glad you all like the shirt! Smile

That looks like a hell of a lot of fun Mike, I'd pay to see that band! And yep - great shirt. I've been jonesing for a nice Rockmount shirt for a while now myself.

Well, the truth is I can only gig with them every couple of months and I don't like to do rehearsals, so it is what it is. But I do like to have the opportunity to play this kind of stuff once in a while--it is humbling.

Steve, Fender T-8 Custom, the old pedal E9 tuning that Emmons used. My amp is a Carvin power amp with a Boss VF-1 used as a pre, with a 15" Altec speaker.

Well, I really enjoyed that myself. Besides the cool shirt, you had a great time playing and the audience seemed to dig it. Thanks for sharing!

...really, really decent Mike.
Your own version of the bar-chatter part, but I like it.
Do you remember, did you have the bass on the amp wide open?

Admittedly, I don't really know how to do the bar chatter very well, but that's not my thing.

My amp is a separate power amp and sound module using a medium gain Fender Twin model. I usually set the bass at about 20% or less when I use my Altec 15". I could probably cause an earthquake with my set up if I wanted to--head room for days if I need it. The whole rig cost me about $400 and sounds better than just everything else I've ever used.

Thanks for watching and for the kind words. I hope I get a chance to play it again--I'd like to kick it up a notch or 2.
