Bill, Fred Cronier is from Montgomery he played Steel Guitar with the band for Governor Big Jim Folsom both times he ran for office. yes big Jim had a country music band playing as he shook the corn shuck mop in the air. Fred played with us at the American guitar studio, back in the 40's.

Ernie,
Does Fred live in Montgomery now? How many people are you bringing to our show?

The Saturday night Jam will start around 5.00 at the Guest House Hotel, 120 Madison Ave, just a couple of blocks from the Museum. The admissions to the show will be $10.00. This is a bargain since the regular admission for the Museum is $8.00. People will be able to tour the Museum from 1.00 till 4.00. included with the $10.00 show ticket. Now some of the players who are confirmed

Don Helms with Chris Malpass

Bill Ferguson
Larry Moore
Roger Crawford
Jack Goodson
Bill Simmons
Don Lynch
Rob Parker
Terry Wood
Tyler Hall

These are confirmed. The times are not. We will also have a person inducted into the ASGA Hall of Fame, along with some other awards. Rooms are availiable at $50.57, walking out price at The Guest House Hotel & Suites. There will be a Warm Up, informal Jam at the Hotel at 5.00 Saturday night. Every one, Come On Down. This is really going to be a great show.

Clyde,
The pattern is full, in fact over full for Sunday. We have had many many players that would like to play. Saturday night Jam is still wide open if you can attend it. We definitely will have you a playing slot for our next function. I want all the gang to hear you pick on that C6th neck. Will see you Sunday in Atlanta.

Tim, I think you are right!!!! That's a large burden off of me!! The "KID", kicking off our First Jam. History in the making. We can use him as a test pig to see if the sound is right! Right?

They say it's best to cook the young pigs first, to see if the fire is right for the hogs! I gotta strange feelin' Tyler will be just fine! I know one thing, I wouldn't want to be in line behind him; maybe with a real long delay (time, not digital). Image

I like the pig cooking idea, but not when the pig is ME!!! I play bad enough already, but that early in the morning I'd be a even bigger diasater. Tim, I'm young and your....... well, I'm not calling you pretty! But I'll give you a long delay, you can use my Digitech. Image

Yeah, I was just wondering if they knew who was going to play when. Just as long as I don't play after Bill Simmons or Tim I'll be OK. By the way, you'd hate to ruin history by letting me start. And why pick on me, it's Tim's turn! Image

Tyler, I think it's up to el Presidente. I know Bill Cook might work with you as much as he can. We were kinda kidding, but...

Well, Tyler I'm no concern; I'm not playing. But, I bet you wish I was playing. Ain't nothing like a big old hog smoking early. Yep, I do believe that would be the case. Looking over the players list appears to be some heavy hitters. Heck, I'm not worried about it; I'm lookin' forward to this show!

Tyler, I think you have learned a very valuable lesson. Check with Larry Moore. He is an old Pro. Ask him what he got for inquiring about playing time in the Atlanta Show. Ask him where Jerry Braswell placed him. I am surprised your Mentor let you make such a blunder. After you talk to Larry Moore and Mr. Simmons, get back with me and maybe we can work something out to get you off the Hot Spot. Or, you can give your slot to Tim Bridges and put him up there. It is great that you are learning such valuable lessons while you are young. As for Larry Moore, he told me to just put him any where. Maybe you can talk him into getting you off the Hot Spot. He is a very nice guy!!

When you play as smooth and pretty as Larry Moore, it doesn't matter where it happens in the lineup of the show; and after all is said and done, what you'll remember will be how well he plays. I, too, especially took notice of his rendition of "IF". It's such a good song for steel guitar, but it requires a "polished player" to "sing" it well, and Larry did just that.

We're getting excited about the Alabama Jam! It's almost here and I'm walkin' around the house singin' songs about "Alabama" within Russ' earshot.
Bill, it was good to see you in Atlanta.
(Oh,by the way, those KISSES you got from me were originally from Bill Ferguson, and he even told me that they were really meant for Russ! Now, where does THAT leave us all?! Image

See ya'll soon!

I've been laughing at Tim all night! Image I don't care where I play, I'm just so honored to get to play. The timeslot really doesn't matter to me, I was just harrasing Tim.
