thanks Frank, I love this rendition and this whole album for steel. I thought the first chord was a diminished but i couldn't find the right voicing. Your tabs helped with that... thanks again!

Sleepless Nights

Post by John A. Russell »

Frank

I have been working on the solo tab for the track on the Sleepless Night CD, "Sleepless Nights"
That solo is so clear and played with great style.
If you Tab this one, I'd love to see it.
Kind Regards From The UK
(I'll send you a copy of mine, when I have written it down.)

Hey Frank, you know it! Although I'm not quite as good as Mr. Perkins  ,But yeah My ole' Bud still sounds sweet, even though it looks as if it's done battles in every honky tonk from Bakersfield to Nashville. Too me it is beautiful and almost as good looking as yours. I'd like to refinish it but I guess I'm a purist at heart.

Bumping up another great tab by Frank.

Bummer that Picosong doesn't work anymore, but here's the song. Solo @ 1:51. It's a good'un!

Thank you, Frank, for including the melody staff.

I know it means nothing to most people but it's a great help to the few, especially for the rhythm ironically :)

I would also add that alongside Buddy Emmons and Bobby Black, Al Perkins was one of my earliest inspirations to take up pedal steel.

Tabs

Post by Nobel Das »

Frank,

WOW!!! This is what I call a perfect tab (IMHO), with key signature, chord symbols, staff notation and the grips. Like Ian Rae said "I know it means nothing to most people but it's a great help to the few". Please include lyrics with it, as if, you do not have enuf to do.

Thanx.
