Dean,
Yes, I'll be playing steel guitar and the band should be pretty good. No fiddle in this production but I get some of the fiddle solos so I don't complain.
Tamara Sipes (Patsy) and Becky Holahan (Louise) are excellent in their roles.
It's in the small cabaret theatre and is a nice intimate environment. Come on up and introduce yourself -- I'm always happy to see steel players and talk a little shop.

Hey Larry, I just got done with a 4 week run of "Always...Patsy Cline". I loved doing it!!! Had packed houses for every performance and every audience was different. Some seemed to have the attitude of "entertain me",while others laughed at everything and sometimes sang along! It was really great fun. Can't wait to do next one. Good luck and have a great time!!! |

Thanks guys
The show is running near packed houses the first three days. We're off Mondays and back at it with shows Tue-Sun (Sun matinees at 2PM).
Tamara is in great voice and the production is very solid.
Looking forward to tomorrow off.

Hey, Larry...
Best wishes for the run, and please tell the girls I said 'hello'.
Sorry my visit didn't come to pass on Thursday - five minutes after we spoke the manifold casing on the Lincoln developed a crack (fortunately just before I got onto I-75!!!), so I've been grounded!
I hope I can get up there before you finish.

Larry,
I wish we were going to be back home to Florida before the show is over. I would love to hear some of that fantastic "Larry Bell" sound in this famous musical.
Your friend and fan,
Roy

You guys are too kind.
I am in awe of both Roger's and Roy's musical abilities and accomplishments. It is a great pleasure to know them and get to pick with them once in a while.
Roger,
Does this mean I need to lean on Bob (the drummer) to see if he wants to sell you his Lincoln????
Everyone at VLT sends their regards -- Allan, Tamara, Becky, Jason, Dorian, Preston, Bob -- all the Bobcats. And I'd like to publicly thank you for the opportunities you've thrown my way. Hope you get by for a visit -- and maybe a show as well -- very soon.
Roy,
Hope to see you soon, my friend. Hope all is well in west TN.

Hi Larry,
Wish I could see the show again.
I did two runs of "Always" through the months of July and December 2004 with the Racine Theater Guild in Racine Wisconsin.
It's truly a great show especially with "live Steel"......Bill |

Hi Larry,
Sorry to miss your show, but we won't be in Venice until February.
Do you have any gigs then?
We are flexible enough to travel accordingly.

If you can't make the show, I recommend you get one of Larry's albums. I have "Friends in Cold Places" and it is outstanding.
Larry is a superb picker who deserves to be heard. He is also a fine gentleman who is a friend to all.
The albums are available on his website www.larrybell.org |

Thanks for all the nice comments
Dave,
I'm sure I'll be playing somewhere, but nothing as 'steel friendly' as this show.
John,
Thanks old buddy. I'm still digging your gospel album.
Well, the run is half over. There are a few tickts left for the next couple of weeks. I haven't seen any steel players there. Y'all come by and see us.
