Carter Starter - F knee lever question

Hi:
When I attempt to roll my ankle from the AB pedal to engage the A pedal and F lever I find that I cannot clear the B pedal without moving and repositing my foot from the B pedal.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

How can I solve this problem?

Adjust the individual heights of the pedals to where you roll on and off them cleanly.

I could never fit comfortably under a Carter Starter.
I raised the legs, moved the knee levers and moved the pedals, then changed the pick-up.
Eventually I gave up and got myself a real pedal steel.

Richard offers you good advice. Many players set the B pedal a little lower than the A and C. Also, you could change the stop on the F lever allowing your knee to move a bit farther to the left. This will add "clearance" for the B lever.

John... Here are the pics I told you I would take.

Keep in mind, I play the "Day" setup and my pedals go CBA instead of ABC and I have my "Franklin Pedal" on pedal 1 (I don't know why I call it a Franklin pedal. It sure doesn't make me sound like him

)

E9th pedals #2=C #3=B #4=A

I would imagine that using the Emmons setup, the pedals might llok like this too. I would want thhe A pedal (#1) to be higher than B and that higher than C

Adjusting the pedal height seems to have solved the problem.

You do know they make an extension kit for that model, which consists of four leg extensions and three rod extensions ?
