At the quarterly meeting of the Rhode Island Steel Guitar Association Meeting on 10 November 2006 the following members were elected to office:

Persident - Marsha Rodriques
Vice President - Steve Pannone
Secretary - Pat Doyle
Treasurer - Mike Tierney
Newsletter Editor - Jim Rice
Membership Chairman - Steve Todd

As outgoing President I join the membership in wishing the new slate of officers a very successful year. It has been a pleasure to serve this past year and I thank everyone for their help and dedication. God Bless Roger A. Trahan

The Rhode Island Steel Guitar Association continues to remain a family of fun. Just as Nancy Pelosi becomes the first woman Speaker of the House, Marcia Roderigues becomes the first woman president of the steel guitar organization.
I thank the late John Jiacovelli for his ability to lure steel players together socially.
From 1st president Sam White, 2nd Tony Palmer, 3rd Roger Trahan, and now Marcia Roderigues, (wife of steel picker Chuck Roderigues); thank you for keeping the association alive.

Well put, Manny.
This makes me wonder if any other steel organizations have or had a female president.
Anyone know?
Marcia has the organizational and business sense to put this together and I'm confident she will do a great job.
