Good Morning Furomites, I recently accquired a D-10 Dekley with 5x8, but it was Day setup and I undertook to change to Emmons setup to fit my playing style. Well.....it was an adventure to say the least, after much drilling and tapping on the rod lever set screws( about 2 days worth)I succeded to make the change. Do I need to adjust pedal and lever stops? How do I go about this or is that done through the Nylon tuning nuts. Please be thorough, I am a Nooby and this is my first time at PGS mechanics. I can't wait to play this "Lady" I know she's going to be a "keeper" Thanks. |

Pics, Ray?
Dan
p.s.--you're more patient than I: I ended up farming out the task of removing those stripped screws on mine. |

The first thing I did to my Dekleys was toss those socket head set screws and replace them with stainless steel socket head cap screws. They're No. 6 so they're small and you can get a larger allen/hex key on them. _________________ Lawyers are done: Emmons SD-10, 3 Dekleys including a D10, NV400, and lots of effects units to cover my clams... |

In hindsight, I wish we had done that from the beginning. As I recall, the set screws were available in cup point to dig into the cross shaft, but the cap screws were not.
Probably the extra torque the cap screws could handle and the ease of removal would have made up for the difference. _________________ Jim Smith
