88 Gibson Les Paul Lite " Showcase Edition" pics

Post by Mike Blackwood »

Wanting to sell or trade my LP lite SE. I've owned this guitar for the last 15 years. I giged with this guitar for a short period of time and it has mostly been in its case for the remainder of the time. The only change to the guitar is I replaced the "horrid" EMG pick ups with the Gibson Humbucking PU's. It sounds awesome now. Has ebony finger board and all black hardware. There were only 200 "Showcase" guitars made in 1988 and they were divided between 9 models of Gibson guitars. The Les Paul Lite "Custom" was also only made between 1987 and 1989, needless to say, this is a very collectable guitar. Prices are all over the place and one was on ebay for $4999. That is $2000 over current value, but someday that may be a reasonable price. I would like to trade for a ShoBud Pro II or a Mullen D-10, but would entertain others. My cash price is $2500.

If you have not done so already, I would post this as well to the MyLesPaul forum website. It will get more exposure

I see you have two steels, and my guess is you can only play one at a time......Just thinking....
