DAVE: With no intention on my part to embarass or get into totally private, inside information, is there any chance YOU could share with we here on the Forum, as to what this lengthy trip might possibly have in store for you, one of the musicians?
How much pay per gig?
How much pay for travel time?
What's the lodging going to be like?
What is the situation regarding meals?
What's the deal with dry cleaning?
Traveling on a BIG impressive bus or in a car caravan?
Are there going to be roadies to carry and set-up the equipment?
I've always been curious since my music travels were very much local in nature and I'm sure the newbies would be interested in what they can look forward to
as a professional musician. |

Ray,
Well don't plan on getting rich doing this. If you want to make a million dollars start with 2 million, then pretty soon you'll have a million dollars.
Sometimes we have meals provided by the venue, some times we're on our own. Pay varies from gig to gig, but we have done OK and been able to eke out a living. No tour bus or roadies. We have 5 in a van with all our gear and luggage. Nice and cozy.
The plus side is we have people at most every show that come to hear us and are fans of Zoe's music.
Sitting by the beach just north of Santa Cruz today in sunny 60 degree weather. Can't beat that for December. _________________ www.facebook.com/countrydaveharmonson |
