Dunlops are way more comfortable, but they just do not sound as good. I always go back to Nationals. They sound more "lively and articulate to my ears.....especially the NP-2s.

Aside from having flared or rounded issues, I noticed that the Dunlop "tangs" are bent slightly conical, (w/ the opening between them being wider at the back, compared to the front).

Now I take a needle nose pliers and twist the National tangs similarly and it's really reduced the cutical/hangnail pain.
