I am the proud new owner of a 1974 MSA classic U-12. Has anyone ever tried to fit a new George L pickup in who can give me some insight. I know that I am probably going to have to take the wooden neck off to rout it out to fit in the bigger pickup. The wiring part will be easy. Has anyone else out there in bar Steel land ever attempted this. Thanks.

Yes, and it's worth the effort! But careful routing is the key to make a good finished look.
