I am from York pa,
I really only know of maybe 3 steelers in the area. Only one of which I got together with. Who's all from the neighborhood? THanks

I've been gone too long (I'm from Mechanicsburg) but two that come to mind are Harry Hatterer from York and Burnell Groft in Hanover.

I'm from Huntingdon in the center of the state. I am fortunate to play with a band that plays gigs all over Pennsylvania. It's always great to meet new players. Check out our website at www.makeminecountryband.com to see when we are playing near you. My seat's always open to players who want to sit in.

Wayne Wallet Shermansdale, Henry Cassel Old Rt. 22, Jimmy Landis,Landisville Smoky Greenawalt Pequa, Brad Waldemeier Red Lion, these are a few of the really fine players in the Mostly central area of Pa. Seems like i'm missing a couple. All of these guys can cook on PSG.

Tommy,
You and guys are making me feel homesick.... although I'm picking down here, it's a little lonely... I think I would like to play Alburtis Park one more time before I die.
I'm from Reading / Allentown area Jeff, move to NC couple years ago now, nice people, perfect weather, music is about the same....

it's just south of Allentown, years ago (over 20) I had the opportunity to sit down with Winnie Winston in Phila. I was a newby & learning and did not sound good had a MSA guitar and Peavey LTD amp and figured it had to be the equipment, boy was I wrong, Winnie played thru my set-up, I was blown away. At one time a company that made what was called a Little Izzy used to have Steel Shows at the local Hampton Inn, I remember Buddy Emmons, Buddy Charlton, Herby Wallace. Don't know what happened to the Lil Izzy, but sure miss those shows though.
