Little Buddy Beginner Pedal Steel In Uk

Post by Mark Daniels »

I want to upgrade my pedal steel and am selling a Dingwall Combustion bass and my Little Buddy pedal steel to fund it!

As some might be aware, this pedal steel was made in the States in the 80's and is a "Little Buddy" made by Freeman Cowgar's USA Guitar Company. It has 3 pedals and 1 knee lever.

An ex-pro was good enough to come over and give me a few pointers a couple of weeks ago. He played this Little Buddy and said that it's pretty good. It may not have the finesse of a pro model but it is a beginner instrument.

This came out of someone's loft and I have cleaned it and have even been careful to use the correct cleaners and lubricants to make sure it plays as well as it can. After reading on this forum, I even searched out an oil which is used for guns as it's light, doesn't gum up metal parts and contains Teflon!

This pedal steel comes with it's big hard case, the copedent chart, an Emmons learning course and a old copy of a Pedal Steel Guitar by Winnie Winston.

The only problem is that the little button of one of the tuning keys is missing! That's all! The tuner still works though!

A Little Buddy pedal steel, in black, is currently on eBay for £500. I'd like £400 o.n.o. Difficult to price as I've seen them go on GBase for $895 in the States.

It sounds really nice and I just run it into a POD XT and a cheapy guitar practice amp. Through a bigger and more steel-dedicated setup, it would sound very cool indeed.

I really want to sell this quick as there's a steel I have my eye on. So £400 o.n.o. It is.

Can personally deliver within reasonable distance from Glasgow or can organise a 24hr courier for mainland UK delivery.
