To my knowledge this has not been done. It has not been used in 9 years. Was the battery modification known about then?

You should pull the chassis and look for battery leakage. Before it is too late.

These are the ultimate steel amp! The only weakness is that it must have good power or it tanks. I have found a nice fix for this. You can get a UPS online for less than $125 All you need is the UPS not the batteries (makes it lighter). The UPS maintains the power and the amp works great. This amp will do anything! I toured all over the country and with the UPS have had no trouble. They aren't heavy (considering) and the tones are incredible. I highly recommend them. To bad Peavey discontinued them. If they would nix the card slot and put in a memory stick plug, they could start making them again!
