Carter knee lever set screw

Post by Glenn Brookman »

Does anyone know where I can get replacement screws for my Carter?Or the size of the set screws on the levers?I noticed a nut on the floor and traced it to a broken screw.

Thanks

Get in touch with Al Brisco. His store is Steel Guitars Of Canada. He bought up all of the remaining Carter stock.

Take one from another lever and take it to your local hardware store to match, or just take the nut. They should have them. Nothing special about them. I have purchase longer one's because I needed more angle adjustment, but don't remember the thread size.

Thanks all!I went to Tacoma Screw in Seattle and got 4 spare.3/8" and 1/2" lengths..I think I'll get some longer ones and experiment with tightening my action up.I believe that it how it's done.. $0.71 for a lot of twang! :o
