How should I do it? Add a pedal next to the A pedal? Add to the E-F lever?

Usually that is raised on the C pedal in combination with pulling the B string to C#, but I raise the E to F# on my LKR and raise E to F on LKL this I eliminates the need for the C pedal.

Just a word of caution
There are a bunch of fast C pedal licks that are much easier to play with the std setup. I, for one, would never give up my C pedal.

If you mean as an addition to the C pedal, I'd either call for a knee or a right foot pedal. I can think of 2 better options for P0, if you want one: 1-F#and 2-E or 5-A and 6-F#

In the early days, I used to raise 4 by itself to F#, but also had the C pedal. Those fast licks Larry mentioned could not be pulled off using A&B pedal and the knee lever. Putting the F# by itself on the last pedal is a cool idea. I used to do that but somehow it vanished from my setup Oh Well

My thought for raising 4 by itself (besides Mooney licks) was so I could have the 5 raise to a 6th for a sound similar to the A pedal in the open position. Then I talked to Hughey about it and he told me that he just lets off the pedals and plays strings 4 & 5 and sliding up 2 frets to get that change.
