If you're into great songwriting, he's well worth the ticket.

i grew up around Raleigh, NC, where he got his start - i am around his age, and remember hearing the buzz about this band Whiskytown, and since my friends and i were all vintage country nuts, we went to a few shows only to find out that at least during those early years, no one gave a crap about bothering to tune their instruments or play in time, (or even learn how to play their instrument) kind of a punk-era attitude doing country themed music - his songwriting was always the draw no doubt.

FYI, Just talked with Jon Graboff this weekend and he is recording and going on the road soon with Shooter Jennings.

Congrats Jon!

Finally! When I had a chance to speak with Shooter a few years ago, I naturally asked him if he knew about his father's main man, Ralph Mooney. Then I kindly suggested that Shooter incorporate a pedal steel guitar into the band, and he said one of the regular guitar players in the band was starting to learn pedal steel. Either way, Jon Graboff is a top-notch steel man and his style will work well with anyone, especially Shooter. Can't wait to hear.
