In the Queue???
RD,
Why would we PM to get in the queue if you are going to pick it up in the morning?
I kept thinking that this would make sense in a short time, but since it still doesn't, help me out here.

David - That's only in there so that people can still contact the seller in another, less intrusive way if they don't want to simply take my word for it that it's sold, if that makes any sense. (As Ed mentioned, the actual seller was not easily able to go back and take his phone number out himself, etc.)
In my book as a seller, it's never sold until it's sold anyway. (You can tell I've done too many Craiglist deals when...)

This post is strange. I phoned the guy at the top with the phone number. I called him Ed and he answered to that. So I was assuming the same guy that posted it was also the guy selling it. He never said anything in our conversation different. He claimed it was his guitar and that he decided he wasn't going to learn to play pedal steel. he said I was 2nd on the list. Which was fine.
Now this Ed chimes in and says that he was posting it for another guy on the forum. Who is the guy i talked to that answered to Ed, then? Very confusing sale. The Ed that posted it said that it was his studio guitar. Well the guy I talked to said he never learned to play pedal steel.
Weirdest sale I've ever ran across.

Al, I don't think this is that strange from what I've seen. I've been lurking here a couple years now and I see a great number of ads posted on behalf of non-forumites. It just wasn't made clear in the ad.
The seller did sort of the same thing to me-- answered to "Ed?" when I first called, but happily corrected me at the point in the conversation where it was clear that names were actually going to matter in this transaction. The seller described it as his studio guitar; he owns a studio, and never learned to play. I think we just have a case of copy-and-paste ad copy here.
I've definitely seen many stranger sales threads on this forum!
