A friend of mine has an Emmons Legrand D-10. Don't know the year model, but was wondering if it may have Pentad pickups on it. The pickups are wide and look like they have a split down the middle, but it's all one piece I'm purty sure.
Don't have a picture, but thought some of you Emmons players might know what pickups are on it. Also, it has the 3 way switch between the necks. thanks

Terry, it is probably an Emmons 108N Humbucker. The Pentad looks just like a 108N but is wired differently and has a 5 way rotary switch to dial up different coil combinations.

Thanks Jerry. Would the 108 humbucker sound as good as a single coil? We're thinkin about trading guitars. My Mullen pre RP for his Emmons Legrand. I just can't get a tone I'm satisfied with, with my Mullen played through my Vibrosonic head and cab with 15" K-130. He's playing through a 65 reisue Twin with a Behringer univerb rack unit. His guitar sounds awesomw. My Mullen sounds better through my Vibrosonic than it does played through my Nashville 112. I'm goin to take my Mullen and play through his 65 reisue and compare the tone of the two. I would bet the Emmons is still gonna sound better though.

Terry, I think you have it figured out. The 108N is a very good sounding pickup, probably as close to an Emmons single coil that you will find. It will sound slightly different than the single coil but not much and it is a humbucker.
