Post by Clark Mortensen »

trying to help a lady sell her 3 steel guitars--I was going to buy them but have had to help my daughter financially so I can't.
anyway she wants to sell the following:
Fender 400--$450.00 plus shipping
Fender Maverick----$600.00 plus shipping
Fender pro II custom-----$1200.00 plus shipping.
I have photos of them at

Just sold it to a guy in Ohio unless he doesn't come through with the cash. :) didn't see your post Al and
I haven't got an e-mail yet----You live in Castle rock?--that isn't far from Grand junction and Loma is it?---if he doesn't come through with the cash and you still want it--I could meet you in Grand junction with it if you buy it.

Al, dang I wish I would have have seen your post or got your e-mail (still haven't got it) before I talked to the guy in Ohio--that would have been a lot easier transaction meeting you in Grand Junction. I live in Vernal Utah and its only about 2 hours to grand Junction--maybe he will back out. hope he does
I didn't think things would go so quickly--I posted at the other web site about 10 minutes before I posted here.

I would have picked it up in Green River on my way to Gallup N.M. Monday. Grand Junction is Five hours west of Castle Rock. :\ :x

I got his e-mail at 11:49 while I was typing it in this forum--I had posted to his and another guy on Songramps Private mail about 10 minutes before I posted here. I sent him an e-mail telling him not to drag his feet--I am not going to post the other 2 steels on that site unless I don't have any luck here.
I am sure sorry--Al your sale would have been a lot simpler.

Eric and Ken--I am trying to answer your e-mails but living here in the sticks has its problems--My local internet and e-mail provider seem to be having issues today--the internet is working but the e-mail server is down right now--hope they get it fixed soon.
As soon as I get hold of Viola I am going to her house (50 mile drive each way) and get the steel guitars so I will have them here so I can answer questions (if I can) and take more pictures if needed.
thanks guys--

Chris, I think I'll keep the ricky--it has some cracks in the back where the wood comes together and around the sides--I am thinking about getting it restored someday--I bought it in a pawn shop for ten dollars about 30 years ago :)
