I had a Session 400 w/15 inch speaker. It was always deep and I was never quite pleased with it. Now it played GREAT and had power to burn but I couldn't bond with the 'sound'.

I found the LA-400 w/12 inch speaker and it was an instant connection. I'm not an electronic technician but I think they are equals, are they not, except for the speaker size?

I've been VERY, Very happy with mine. It is HEAVY tho'. I used to use them with my ProFexII and what a blend of great sound I had then. They've gotten heavier since I've aged some.

Great amp in small but 67 pound package. Its enlightening to read the manual as it has lots of different controls that i didn't know really how to work. I like using input 2 (less db) and the saturation control can dial in a tube like sounds. Mine has the Fox intense mod and sounds great!Good score cause they are hard to find.
