Heads up for Az.Carport Pickers.

Post by Ray Jenkins »

The carport jam is scheduled for Oct. 29th this year.Jody Cameron will be coming in from Houston this year,we can,t wait too hear him play with our "A" Team back-up,Denny Sarver on Bass and Ron Corbin on drums.Hope Bill Roten can be here on fiddle.Just talked to Fred Justice and he will play as always, bless his heart.

So, all you Az. Carport Pickin members start letting my current wife Dixie know how many are coming. She needs to know how much food to cook.

Jim Cohen,I hope you try to make it again this year.

Ray, I'd be honored if you'll allow a So. Ca. newbie to come sit and learn from the rest of you, (and that old guy, Fred Justice). Do you keep a leash on Joe N.? hahaha.
[This message was edited by Thom Beeman on 26 September 2006 at 05:47 PM.]

Ah, Ray, I'm afraid I won't be able to join you after all. I am playing the night before for a friend's 50th birthday bash so I couldn't fly out till the day of the event (Sunday) which would also have to be the day I fly home! So, I'll have to miss Dixie's awesome cooking and all youse guyz' awesome picking, but I'll be there in spirit with you all. Got my membership card all laminated and ready for the next usage, though.
Best,

I keep hearing what fun this event is and I know those who go will have a great time. As usual, this is my busy season and I won't be able to make it. Should've had it during August as I could have been there almost any day! Image

Best of the big F-U-N to the carport pickers.

Well Jody I knew there would more than likely be a problem about being on the road.Tell Zona to aim the bus our direction and all of you show up,plenty to eat.

Thom, plenty of chairs, just bring your guitar.

Joe N. I told you not too change jobs,we'll miss you buddy.

Mike,we will you also I'll miss getting my sugar from Ms T.

A little something about, what the hell is his name again...... OH! Fred Justice.
His CD is out,got my copy today. What a great mix of real music.Mike McGee did a job on mastering and mixing,I know he must of had a mess to work with however he succeded.
Most artist have a CD release party, after talking with Fred we decided the Az. Carport Party will be,"THE FRED JUSTICE CD ESCAPE PARTY".

Hank you never get here this late in the year,Dixie will miss your little dog and we will all miss you.

Ray did caution me however, to keep the pies away from Fred Justice untill everyone had a chance to sample them Image Image Image Image.
