Died in the wool D10'er here. Will never go back to a single neck. Well, I wouldn't mind having an S13 or 14 and try Robert Randolph's tuning. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . I'm with Richard. If not a U12, the only new axe I'd likely buy would be a D-12, I'd give Ext E9 a shot. Bruce and Reece made some great guitars, I don't think I another D-10 ll Not sure how I'd extend C6, though. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

I would love a D12. Not only the ext E9, but I would really like to have the high G back on the C6th. I would put that on string 3 and string 1 would be the D and 2 would be a B, like the top 2 strings on E9. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . I have a real need for a lightweight S-10 to go with my two D-10 Emmons. Doug Earnest was very helpful when we discussed this earlier this year but I was unable to take him up on his offer at that time - I do think a Stage One would be a great option and very affordable!
I'd love to have a guitar for just taking in and out of rehearsals... _________________ Roger Rettig: Emmons D10, B-bender Teles, Martins, and a Gibson Super 400!

I kind of envy you talented guys that can get your money's worth from a D-10. I have my last D-10 up for sale now, had a couple of others that I've sold. I just don't use the 2nd neck. That said, I have a new SD-10 ordered, another Rittenberry. Coming sometime next spring. |

I just never had any desire to play C6th type music.
I was hooked on E9 after hearing Tom Brumley and John Hughey. I have a nice Zum and a Williams, but I'm always looking and that new new Mullen G2 looks real sweet... Also, at my age, I don't need to be lugging around a heavier double neck guitar when I only play E9. |

I would actually consider buying a light weight S-10 tuned to C6th to compliment my Stage One. I occasionally play with a bunch of guys that play some very old classic swing and country and I could leave the E9 home. I think I'd rather have two light weight single neck steels than one heavy double neck steel. Worst case scenario it would just be another trip out to the car, but my back just can't take the weight anymore. _________________ Zum Encore, Zum Stage One, Fender 2000, Harlan Bros., Multi-Kord, |

I see the results, but there are no little circles to click on next to the response/choice like in the U12 poll. _________________ Zum Encore, Zum Stage One, Fender 2000, Harlan Bros., Multi-Kord, |

On the U12 poll there is a tab to push to get these results. On the S-10 poll I get the results 1st but can't get to the ballot.

Fred, if you see results, you already voted. Results are invisible til you vote: then the results replace the poll _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

I voted in the U12 poll a couple of days ago and that ballot is still available for me to vote. I didn't even see this poll until today. And I know I didn't vote today. _________________ Zum Encore, Zum Stage One, Fender 2000, Harlan Bros., Multi-Kord, |

b0b, it may have to do with one of the Laws of Learning; the Law of Primacy--first things learned are the most often remembered, e.g., Sho in Sho-Bud....Now along comes another "Sho or Show"...On the other hand, how do folks get Mullens out of Mullen?? |

I voted no for the reason that I have a S10 that I love. If I didn't have my current guitar, I would probably buy a new S10 in the future.

Well I guess I'll vote no a 2nd time for the U12 poll and 0 for the S-10 poll. By the way, I am very likely to buy a new S-10, either a pro model E9 or a light weight C6. _________________ Zum Encore, Zum Stage One, Fender 2000, Harlan Bros., Multi-Kord, |

I voted no. My next guitar would be a D-12 with the high G and D on C6 so I can play all my Pete Drake riffs and extended E9 which is great for recording fat sounds.
