I'm 59 and just started playing again after a 25 year hiatus. Played lap steel as a kid and teen, then was a country-rocker on pedals in the 70s and 80s. I'd like to get good enough to be able to do some studio work, as there are a lot of small recording studios in and around my home town and lots of local bands cutting CDs.

I'm 57. Started on steel at age 15, quit at age 27 (for that instrument people love to hate) and now back at steel for a little over a year. Good thing I held onto my Winnie Winston book!

The good thing about getting old is that it's better than the alternative. :whoa:

Been 62 for the last 8 months, got another 27.75 more months till I reach 63 or is it 61. I can never get the right candle count from my wife's birthday cake she bakes for me every year, she uses those long lasting wind resistance candles, just too many to count now a days.

Been playing pedal steel since August 1975, started on Lap steel back in 1965.

I'll be 78 in 22 days! Still singing in my music room, and enjoying listening to all the steel guitar I can find on you tube!! And visiting the Steel Forum regularly, as I have since 2001! Leigh :)

It's not polite to ask someone who turned 60 three weeks ago his age!
