Black Mullen SD-10 RP $hipping Incl

Post by Pat Goodbla »

This black mica guitar is a Royal Precision, c.1995, Billy Cooper Series Ser. No. C0034. It has 3 floor pedals and 5 knee levers, and the changer is a triple raise/double lower. The guitar is a 9 out of 10, and the case is like new.

The floor pedals are Emmons.

LKL raises E's
LKR lowers E's
LKV raises 2nd string a half tone, and raises 4th string a half and whole tone
RKL lowers 5 and 10 a half tone
RKR lowers 2nd string a half and whole tone, and lowers 9 a half tone.

$2,150 shipped and insured FedEx lower 48. More pics available on request. I will address all questions.

This is an amazing guitar. Why it is still here is beyond me. I guess it's the old "economy" thing....

3 years ago, this would not have lasted 10 minutes before it was sold...

Mullen Pre RP

Post by Ray Anderson »

Good looking guitar, I'm wanting to try a Mullen but no place here to do it unless you drive 6 or 7 hours. If I had a little more nerve I would pull the trigger on this one, just don,t know much about them. How do these compare to the RP models? If you,ve got a minute tell me a little about this model of guitar :?

The Mullen SD-10 is a great guitar with unequal support. I have an RP just like this one.

You will glad you did!!! No regrets.

Ray....

It is my understanding that this is a late, Pre-RP guitar with some of the design changes that Del and Company came up with from the development of the RP model. The Pre-RP guitars are sought after by some for their tone, playability, etc. that, in their opinion, is unique to the Pre-RP Mullen instruments.

Just so you know this is an R.P. It is a Billy Cooper model, that is what the straight endplates are about. However it is not a Pre-Rp. It is a Royal Precision.

I bought a double neck 10 Mullen two years ago. Thought I wanted the back neck, but honestly (hate to admit this) I have never even tuned it. Should have gotta an SD-10 I guess, but I love the guitar. Wish I could afford this one.

Could you tell me the difference between this model and a regular RP? Also about how much does it weigh?

John....This is an earlier post in this thread by Mike Mantey of Mullen Guitars that clarified the Pre-RP/RP issue.

I am not aware of the differences between an RP and the Billy Cooper Series. Hope this helps.

Unsure of the weight as I bought it locally. As soon as I case it up, I will weigh and let you know.

Still available.... :o

The guitar weighs 37# and the case weighs 17#. Appx. shipping weight would be 55-60#, depending on the carton used.

Mullen Guitars

Post by Buck Hammock »

Just thought I would weigh in about the Mullen guitars.
I have a D-10 RP purchased from Herby Wallace that I keep in the studio and I purchased a new G2 This summer for live shows. You cannot go wrong with Mullen Guitars. Very High quality and tone that's second to nothing out there.
