Here are some before and after pics of my old 71' 6140 Sho-Bud Professional.
The new pics don't really do it justice (hopefully James can post some of his pics for me) This old steel looks like a museum piece. The sound and action are even better.
Thanks again to James Morehead for doing a stellar job.

Here's some before and after pics of the keyhead. Todd's guitar was definately a challenge, but we got her looking, playing, sounding sweet!! Again, Thanx for your patience, in my delema.

Here's some topside pics. This poor guitar was a MAJOR challenge, and I want to point out that Todd bought this guitar inthis condition, because he could see the potential. The "Diamond in the rough" deal. Check out the changer housing and cabinet BEFORE pics. Also, the pedal bar was an incredible challenge--it came to Todd looking like it was drug down a gravel road. It came out pretty sweet. Also, we installed a period correct original pickup, which was rewound by Jerry Wallace of True Tone.

Here's some under carriage pics. I did not want to drill a hole in the endplate, so I mounted the coiltap switch next to RKR. Also, note the birdseye "plug" we installed to cover the 3 holes in the cabinet's back shelf, where the tone and volume knobs were(yellow arrow).

Behind the lines, I have some very talented individuals with vision. Credit for the "stain job", refinish job and the birdseye "insert" go to my friend Tony Rincon, from Enid Oklahoma.(see Tony's walnut tele's he built, in the forsale section!!) Thankyou Tony for such an awesome job!!
Credit for prepping the cabinet goes to my wife Tree, and her friend/helper Carla.

Frank, Thanx for the kind words, It's a labor of love. Here's the copedant--same as mine on my fingertip. Just ignore the C6th half, and you have Todd's.
Todd, I hope the pics I posted and info, helps folks comprehend the challenge of refurbing your great 6140. I'm outa here. my friend! Got many parts waiting for my elbo grease. Much catching up to do!!

There's nothing prettier than a Moreheaded 2 hole puller/barrel undercarriage. Wish I had one. That is one bee--you--teee-ful geetar. Got love them ole Buds.
