While helping the daughter of a deceased band member we ran across an Edwards light beam tone/volume pedal that isn't working. does anyone know about these and are they repairable? It is marked by him as a 1970 pedal.

Thanks

Al

Al,it's difficult but not impossible to get work done on Don Edwards pedals. The story I got was that after Don's death(quite some time ago, now)his widow wouldn't share the specs and drawings with anyone, making it a little daunting to get work done.
I did get one of my Edwards pedals repaired-dead photocell-by Noel Stubblefield of Stubbyfex in North Denver, but he had to do some improvising and it took him a long time.Since you're in this area at least some of the time, you could talk with him about your pedal. You could also talk with Mars Amps in Englewood.I've had good luck with them on a lot of repairs to amps, stompboxes, and PA components. Not that there aren't a zillion good repair shops in the area-those two are just the ones I know best.

Thanks for the input Dave, The pedal is dead both for tone and volume, she told me to dump it if I didn't want it, would you want it for free ? I hate to just toss it.

I used mine for several years. It now gathers dust bunnies.

Does anyone still have one of these pedals? I am interested in getting mine fixed or getting one for inside parts. Many years ago I tore into it to fix the little outside red light. As I remember some parts went flying that I didn't recover or lost. I've since moved. I put it back together with missing parts that had something to do with a counter balanced weight thing. The volume still works but the pedal top is very loose with no pedal movement resistance. I still use it & would like to get it working the way it used to work.
