Geez, Winnie, where would so many of us be without you and your essential book? Still have my copy with the flexi-45 (you young'uns, ask yer elders).
Before the internet, youtube, etc., there was Winnie's book, which was so helpful when I was learning pedal steel. Nice to see him enjoying himself in what appears to be his latter days.
Thanks for putting those videos up.

Daniel I wish I could take the credit for uploading those videos. They are all fantastic. I, too used that book to learn in 1975 when I purchased my first PSG.

I have created a site on Facebook in regards to this book called ''Pedal Steel Guitar, the bible by Winnie Winston and Bill Keith. Bill is a member of the group. Here is the link if any one is interested in joining and sharing

http://www.facebook.com/groups/161522377208008/

I also have created a site for Buddy Emmons, and Sho-Bud pedal steel guitar. Not to mention a site dedicated to John Hughey

Thanks RC

His book is what got me started in the right direction and don't forget Winnie's "Steel Wool" album that had tab with it. He put alot of information in that book too.

Tony

I remember purchasing the disk at an underground music store dealing in obscure and rare recordings when the disk first was released. In fact, I also remember purchasing the ''Sneaky Pete' recoding at the same store. Long live the 70'S for great music and innovation. Tony..with the album there was only the vinyl recoding....sure would appreciate the tabs that were included, and I'm sure that the other members of this site would also appreciate them. Can you please scan them and send them to the site. The estate of Winnie could benefit from the sales of the recordings that accompany your tabs. Hopefully someone will purchase that beautiful recording....a true classic Thanks RC

B0B. Seems to me that the importance of Winnie Winston in all of our lives and playing deserves a ''Sticky'' These videos are priceless. Winnie's banter, charm, and excellent playing deserve a sticky Thanks RC

As a real newcomer to the PST, these videos are great. He seems to be a great ambassador for the instrument and someone who approaches the steel with great love and pride.
