On occasion I play pedal steel for Kenny Walters from Bakersfield.
Kenny sings the heck out of this song and I thoroughly enjoy playing the solo.
It took me awhile to figure out the mechanics of the solo but now I enjoy playing it soulfully.

I spent some years in Fresno. Hag is big there .. always has been:)

I love Moon playing with strings on this one.

The guy I work with sings this song. Didn't Wynn Stewart have this out first?

Yes Jack, Merle bought from him and it was Merle's first hit I belive.

actually wynn gave the song to merle to record..merle had the song out first
