Nice Nashville 1000 With Chip Upgrade - Sold - Please Close

Post by Jim Cooley »

I have a nice Peavey Nashville 1000. It looks practically new, except for the Tolex on the bottom, where there are a few scuffs and a strip where the Tolex was repaired. It was like that when I bought it from another forum member.

The amp has only left my house once; no tobacco or pets. Pots are smooth and quiet. There are no performance issues at all. I’ve had a case of Amp-GAS and just need to get rid of one... or two...or.... The OpAmp chips have been upgraded with OPA2604s. The original chips and installation instructions are included. The factory Black Widow 1501-4 speaker is in great condition. I will also include the stock Peavey amp cover, which is in really good condition.

The photos show a panel at the top rear of the amp. That was there to make it easier to lean the amp back when sitting it on a chair. It has been removed. It's not factory, but I will include it if you want it. The foot switch that is shown in the rear photo is not included. It's my generic Peavey foot switch. I forgot to take it out before I took the picture.

Was asking $425 plus shipping; now $385.

Thanks Mickey - The 2604s made a world of difference compared to the original OpAmp chips. I tried a set of the newer 2134s in this amp also. There might have been a little difference between them and the 2604s, but it's hard to say without having two amps to A/B.

Jim if I didn't already have a NV1000 I'd buy that one....very good price for a great amp.

Did Peavey ever do a Factory Mod to upgrade to the 2604 chip during their NV 1000 production run?

Roger,

I don't think they did. The 2604 is an upgrade over the original factory chip. It makes a big difference.
