Missing Guitar (Jackson)
My New Jackson guitar was shipped the first of this month. 5 days later it came right back to where it started.I am talking about UPS.When it finally hit the west ,(Phoenix)they did not scan it out, and it head back east.Got to Missisippi, and headed to phoenix.Landed in Phoenix on the 14th of this month. No scan from there.Today is the 18th.I was just told that UPS would not have any more imformation for four more days.Talk about getting out of the mood.<><>
Leaving for Texas next Mon.Will Buy a home there.More music I hope.
Bill (a little disappointed)

I use Fed-Ex. for shipping all of my items I sell. There's a reason. Same as above. It took 23 days for UPS to deliver a Pro III from New Jersey to Mississippi! Then the case was already old and it got banged up some more but the guitar was ok luckily. I'm refunding 100.00 to the player that actually gets the Pro III to help pay for a new case if they want one. Not bashing UPS here, just speaking the truth!

Don't tell Bobbe this, but when FedEx delivered my Fender '65 reissue Twin Custom 15, I walked to the back of the truck, and to my horror saw all the packages had been just "rolling" around like a huge mix master.... all 8 corners and 6 sides of the Fender carton were abosultly trashed....
Luckily the amp was fine
Doesn't seem to matter anymore who you use... customer service by these shippers has gotten to be a real disgrace..... wonder if this is the result of high fuel costs causing cutbacks in quality assurances?
If I ever buy a new steel, I'm picking it up my self
BTW, Bobbe, what a killer amp! Thanks!

Just been going thru the same living hell as you guys have with ebb's Fender 400. It disappeared from the radar screen, then ended up in Utah, and is presently in Peoria IL on its trek to my shop. 23 days and holding. Ed used FedEx Ground at my urging because I have never had a problem yet with their services. Boxes arrive intact, etc. I would never trust UPS with a thing again due to the many negative experiences I had with them while living in NC.

Well today is the 21st.It hit Georga and turned around.Left Texas last night around Midnight. Talked to a supervisor yesterday.
Explained what was going on.Can do nothing he said.It is in transit. We put a trace on it ,and found it.I said, Why can't you stop the tour? Well,he said. It hasn't reached it's destination yet.
I only wish I could put those tracking numbers on here.I am sure it will hit Phoenix Friday, and back to Georgia on Monday.
Bill I hear I am getting a brown one. The one on Bobbe;s site.(Bill)

I doubt it is routine for the carrier. I , like many here, have shipped countless items, including AMPS and STEELS UPS without any issues what so ever..and I have received numerous AMPS, Guitars and STEELS without any issues by UPS..
BUT
FED EX has lost packages never to be found..
and the PO has sent a package around the Country for alaost 4 months before it was found., and did not refund the postage fee either ! And the PO delivered a Guitar with a broken neck as well...
I think if we all contribute to the tally, at one point or another, they may ALL fall short..
[This message was edited by Tony Prior on 21 September 2006 at 09:47 AM.]

Today is sat.the 23rd of September. The guitar is in phoenix again.
Next week I will be in texas. When I come back to Vegas I am going to write several levers.I found on the uPS site a few of the TOP bosss's.I am going to Fed X my own survey to each of them at the same time.Especially the man in charge of operations.Naturally they don't have phone numbers posted.I will ask each one of them who is the smartest over at UPS.That man should be able to make a simple phone call, and locate the Black Jackson guitar, which now I am scared to death of.I'll take any other color at this point.Since I'll be in Texas next week, I have asked The Jacksons not to send anything at this time.
The last time UPS was involved, they dropped the Mullen somewhere along the line, and ruined the case.It stayed overnight on the porch,me not knowing it was here. I was suppose to sign for it.A friend said ,you have a big package at the front door.
If I was in a gambling town ,I would say it will be in Jackson Missisppi by monday.

I don't know how it works in your neck of the woods, but in my location, the Fedex delivery routes are contracted out to individuals. The service you get, depends on the local Fedex terminal and the person who placed the low bid on your route.
I have had terrible service from Fedex and UPS has given me outstanding service. It all boils down to individuals.
Bill, I hope you get your Jackson in good condition. The "individuals" responsible for this shameful service, should be fired.

Bill, sorry to hear about your trouble. I do feel you will receive your guitar soon. For what it's worth I've shipped around 30 guitars with them.
However I don't understand this statment.

Not that you owe me an explanation. But why are you scared of your guitar? I'm sure I missed something along the thread. Regards and best of luck...........bb locate the Black Jackson guitar, which now I am scared to death of.I'll take any other color at this point

The Jackson guitar has returned to sender.
The sender,David Jackson, said it is in beautiful shape.I may have another one ,If I like,OR,take the one that was on tour.
I have taken the first one. The Black one.It has toured ,and is on the way to me. I think Friday or Mon ,I will have the Jackson Guitar. It's a 4 and 4.It will be my first S-10 guitar. My wife will not let me sell the Emmons, or the MUllen.Have not thought about selling the Mullen anyway. It plays really easy.
