The new George L 10-1 is now installed in the Sierra. How high does your strings measure from the pickup? Say from the top of the pickup to the bottom of the strings. I know it depends on what the person likes, but we're looking for a starting point.

Stack two quarters on top of each other ...

Place one stack under the treble strings ... place the other stack under the bass strings.

Adjust the height to where the strings are just touching the quarters.

Play abit ...

Do the same with just one quarter between the GeoL and the bottom of the strings ...

You will find your sweet spot ... somewhere in between ... Mr. Green

Rick, thanks for your help. By the way, we noticed the George L pickup was installed backwards with "George L" reading toward the lower bout instead of towards to neck like it shows on the Sierra website. I don't think it would make any difference, but does it make a difference?

Rick has you fixed up, but I'd just add that when dialing in your sweet spot, its best to make small changes at a time.
Also, you might find that you will want / like the treble side to be just a fraction higher than the bass side.
Take your time and when you hit that spot that makes you smile, stop because you are there.
