Gregg is one of my heros.I would like to give a shout out to Gregg.I have learned many things from him. There are so many great players here.I think its time to give them their due. This is only for forum members. So list your favorite forum member.Mine is bOb cause he owns the joint.Just a little brown nosing, so lets go from here. But he is good.I will also say thank you bOb.When the dust settles you will still be the winner. But what some great players we have. Elbo

Well, so far, it's like the old saying, "you have three guesses, and the first two don't count".

I like most of the members here except maybe a few, but Bill Hankey is definitly not one of those that I don't like.

I didn’t have time to hype my choice here, I had to log in to GBTV for a couple of hours as usual.
I joined the Forum mainly because of Bill’s topics. They are like a Steel Guitar Soup Opera and I can’t resist and just have to be a member of the cast,
His topics are a refreshing departure from the usual boring Coped’, Bell Crank, Birds Eye, paint it black, don’t paint by numbers and 9000 ways to tune out of tune.
Bills topics are consistently right at the top of the total number of viewers and replies.
My campaign slogan for Bill Hankey is:
“BE HONEST ABOUT THE TOPICS BY BILL
YOU KNOW YOU CAN’T RESIST THE THRILL”

Oh we humans love to play games and make up competitive lies. And then we get mad about it.( My guitar is the best and its better than yours or this guy is a lot better than this other guy.
Well..Whoop de do Big deal. Stuff like that doesn't matter. What matters is the truth.

I suppose that there is some kind of entertainment value in all this dribble and drool.Bill Hankey is good at pushing the buttons of us weak minded humans. And we love it and he is laughing .

Well,I've dribbled and drooled long enough.

The whole Forum is my hero! I think it's a gift that there are a lot of knowledgeable players and builders here willing to share what they know. The ne plus ultra is that there are so many name players who are active posters and dialogue with the rest of us.
It's exactly as if James Burton,John Jorgenson, and Albert Lee were active members of the Telecaster forum.

The PSG is a simple mechanical Instrument and it doesn’t take a genius to figure it out.
You don’t have to be a great player to understand music and discuss it.
I think I can fix my own PSG as good or better than Buddy Emmons.
I might be as important to some of us to know where Bill Hankey is playing as where Paul Franklin is playing.
It could be more important to a lot of us to see pictures and talk about what happen at our last local jam than to know all about what Buddy did last Friday.
Maybe a lot of us would rather read Bill Hankey’s topic than the usual repetitive boring I painted my PSG black with a broom and tuned my coped like this and that and Joe blow shafted me and when am I ever gonna get my new Steel I ordered 2years ago, do I really need splits and for gosh sakes don’t paint by numbers and my favorite "I heard this player and pied my pants"..

Bo......you've certainly made my day!

Being on any list YOU might conjure up is both an honor and distinction.

Being way back in second place, far behind Mr. Hankey, is an honor in and of itself. I'm simply amazed that 'my name' would even come up in a discussion such as this.

Everyone has to be somewhere and 2nd place ain't all that bad, eh?

By the way Bo.....can't let that snazzy outfit of yours go by unnoticed. When you're all cleaned up, you don't look half bad. Did you get all dressed up just to make your announcement here on the SGF? THANKS again for your honorable mention.

In a previous post I used “pied” because I didn’t think you could use ”peed” here on the forum..
Ray, yes my avatar was a knockoff of yours which was created when I first joined the Forum and I was afraid to use it till now.
Before I joined I viewed the forum and discovered that I really enjoyed Bill Hankey and Ray Montee topics. I also like the Humor section not implying in anyway that all three are the same.
It is because of those three constants that Stuart and I decided we wanted to join and participate. .
So the forum members here have you guys to thank that Stuart and I joined.
I’m sorry this fact may lose you a lot of votes.

Ray Montee
The only reason Ray came in a distant 2nd is that I don’t like Hawaiian music and I don’t know enough about it to participate in his topics. It was simply a matter of Ray’s demeanor and very interesting topic content coming from a point of view other than the usual PSG rhetoric.
Ray if we were voting for the classiest person on the Forum I think you would win hands down.

I agree Bo. Mr Bill should be in the HOF. Have you heard his version of [Pick Me Up On Your Way Down ?] Just that alone would qualify him to join his peers such as Byrd,McAuliffe,Remington,Boggs,Chalker, etc,in that prestigious group. YOU BETCHA,DYK?BC.

What got me thinking about this topic was the discussion on nominees for the SGHOF.There are some great players out there that are not famous, nor care to be.Guys like Gregg and Mickey and all the others that take time to post sound tracks and help us beginners are at the top with me.I didn't mean this as a contest, but whom you like as steel player on our forum.
