Joe I cleaned out my seat today like I'd planned and really didn't throw out much. My son just sent me a new Leatherman Skeleton knife with a good set of pliers, a couple of screwdrivers and it cuts strings so I took out the two sets of needle nose and all the little screwdrivers except for the multiple one from Auto Zone that has four in one. Had to keep that one! I had only one extra stainless bar and two of the cheapo things that are purple and white and aren't worth anything so they went out and right now I have the one volume pedal but the other one is one the guitar set up here to work on some tunes, enough chords to do it twice and some chord connectors in case they're too short, Fulltone distortion, Lil Izzy Plus, two power supplys for Boss Pedals, a Boo Wah box my friend John Bechtel made so that I can get the Boo Wah thing with the push of a button, a Boss tuner and in the sidecar I have two whole sets of strings one for each neck, enough singles for the ones that might break but seldom do, (gotta have those!) Two little pouches with some extra picks, nylon tuners, an E-Bow, a small flashlight, some business cards, ear plugs just in case it gets too loud and very often does, and the pick pouch with the picks, bar, and tuning wrench I use regularly. That ain't much! Oh yeah and one little Squirt Leatherman that I carried before my son sent me the new one.

Well that must settle it - it is time for a bigger seat - Original or an Original with a SideKar

Well, getting rid of the cheap drum throne was the first wise decision, but picking a seat was a hard one - they all are pretty great. What settled me on Walker Seats was the low 14 lb. weight, usable backrest position (even when playing), and lots of little nice touches in the construction (e.g. somewhat adjustable dividers). Plus the fact that Ray Walker is a true gentleman (I'm sure the other folks are also, but Ray was a joy to do business with). Oh, and the price was great also....

And everything just fit, even the pedalboard (plus spare volume pedal, spare power adapters, strings, cables, etc.)!

Will someone PLEEEEEASE make a seat with a hole in the middle and call it "The Hemoroid Model"! I don't think an ice pack holder is too much to ask for either.

Thanks Steve, I am glad you are happy. And thank you Billy for your kind words. Hope to see you around soon. We have been playing quite a bit so hopefully I can catch one of your shows one night. Well I once considered that "special seat" for the hemi problems but I just knew that somehow it would morph into another use and the whole thing just stunk....you know what I mean???

Hey Joe...There may be something there ya know....I mean look at the ages of some of the players now and there could be a market for those who just can't "move" as quick as they used to.

Now I really think we have enough variety in the seat business already...and as all good folks seem to do...those that have "special" needs will probably figure out a way to solve their problem and hopefully not many will really "expect" us to mass produce certain items. That is not to mean that I wouldn't build a custom seat for anyone because I certainly will.

I purchased a ''Diable'' Sorry I don't know the word in English. a two wheeled object that you can carry a stove or refrigerator. I place my steel and Kelly Pack-a-seat on the unit and wheel into the venue. No weight, simple to carry. The only problem is taking the PSG out of the trunk or back seat and placing it on the ''Diable'' I then make a second trip for the amplifier. There exists fancy units like the chaps at UPS use that have 4 wheels, that could carry the entire package. The unit I purchased was from Home Depot and cost me $19.99 Canadian. Works great !
