Mr Miller
If I had to pick a steel player to back me up singing. Your the one. Very well played stuff with Leona Williams on u-tube.
Your steel sounds the way it should in back of the singer.
Some players can play at the speed of light.(well close to it). But fast picking does not a steel player make. I prefer the good old country sound of Mr Millers steel.
Well done

For you see fellow forumites.
All of us closet players, weekend warriors, jam nuts and player wannabees don't have to acheive the level of the elite.
Simple stuff behind the singer is very helpful and the crowds love it.
Scales, licks ,outtros, intros done simply are very beautiful.
Keep smiling

Larry
I think that the name on the steel has little or no baring on the sound that he is getting. Do you?
Could be any brand steel..still..he will have a great sound..Right? |

So plug away Larry
Mullen guitars are great, as are many others.
So Brother Clark .(I like your fish)
Are you saying that he gives lessons? Wow. Would I ever like to get with him for some lessons.
I have been to Branson and I like it better than Nashville. Its not so big a city and lots of great shows. If Boo spends his time there than I'm going back real soon.
Regards

Hey Robert, Boo can play at the speed of light and when he does, it is very tasteful, just like his back up playing. _________________ Henry Matthews

Hey Robert , thanks so much for the kind words . I too enjoy the older music and enjoy expressing my take on it on steel guitar. when you set behind someone like Leona Williams you are forced to play it like you stole it . I am and have been blessed in my so called music career for along time. As for my Mullen guitar I love it and have played that particular guitar for close to 20 yrs because of the tone and timbre it produces. I have to credit the Late Buddy Charlton for my tone though by teaching me correct right hand technique among other correct habits that i feel play a large part in the seperation of one players sound from another. Not that larry is wrong but its a family of things that produce my sound. Guitar , Me , Amp , the day , ect... im thinking of doing a new cd project soon i will post here when its done .. thanks again
