Just wanted to say thanks to Bill and Betty Jobes for a great afternoon of pickin and fellowship. It was so good to see all my frineds and make new ones! We were extremely surprised to see Rob Parker, Fred Justice, and The Newberrys and Stewarts. Austin made some new fans as quite a few folks there had not seen him before. Everybody played great and I had an absolute blast. Jack Musgrave, I enjoyed sitting beside you and talking and pickin with you. Thanks also for bringing Travis, a great fiddler. It was great to see my frineds Jerry and Tina Hubbell who drove all the way from Howard Kansas to attend.MY favorite moment of the show was when we started playing " My weakness is too string" and Rob Parker came running and sang the Tar out of it. I love hearing you sing my friend. I had to scoot out early to go play a night gig and apologize if I didn't get to say good by to all but guaranty it was a great day for me.
See some of you in two weeks in Baxter Springs. Everybody played great and it was a HOOT!!!
thanks again

We want to add our thanks for the invite. We had no idea what we were walking into, but were pleased to see it was a good old fashioned jam with great food and people. It was good to see all our friends and good making new friends. Austin has a bit of trouble keeping up with the Western Swing and the Jazz, but he sure has fun trying. He never lets on that he is having such a great time, but trust me, we hear about it all the way home.
Thanks again for letting Austin be a part of the fun day. Look forward to seeing everyone in Baxter Springs. |

Bill & Betty thank you for all you do every year to put this annual event together. It is a great treat to sit down and pick with so many good players at one time. Plus, it gives me a chance to see and visit with so many of my friends. Through your dedication and efforts I have got to meet some of the best steel players in the history of country music, thanks.

Sorry I could not make the Jam. I miss not seeing all my friends. I played a big show over the weekend and was just worn out. Then Monday and today I have practice with the big Gospel Jubliee, for the big Show in Harrison, Arkansas on Saturday. |
