Doe's anyone have any idea where to purchase these guitars? Do I need to go through Carter?

They are no longer being produced. I built nearly all of the Magnums when I worked at Carter. They turn up used fairly often for a good price.

They are good guitars. They were sold through a dealer network. There might be a few in unsold inventory scattered in music stores around the country.

Well hey thanks for your hard work! I have a red D-10 8&5 that I scored in as-new condition for a grand! It's a sweetheart of a guitar and, to me, feels and plays exactly like it's big brother Carters.
