Western Swing dj Mike Gross will be at the steel guitar convention this year! This is his first year so everyone make him welcome!

Mike: We look forward to meeting you & thanks again for making the Jazzabillies #1 for the last several months on your show!!
You are awesome!

If you don't have a jazzabillies cd- they will be available to Bobby Caldwell's booth so pick up a copy of the Jazzabillies and Bobby's new fingerstyle guitar cd!

Jimmy,

Thanks so very much to both you and Starla for not only being very talented people but also humble and kind. I really appreciate what you are saying to the throngs in St.Louis on my behalf.

Thank you both so very much! I think that I have heard this word before but it describes your CD perfectly, AWESOME!

I wished I could be there with all of you and to visit with you Mike, maybe I'll see you at the PSGA in November, at this point I'm not certain.

edit for spelling.

Red,

Susan and I are really looking forward to meeting you out in St.Louis. I want to talk music and she wants to talk trains. (HA!-HA!) Amigo, it will be a pleasure to finally get to meet you. I have played your wonderful CD on air often.

Jody,

We'll miss you in St. Louis, buddy but you have many fans who just want to say hello at PSGA in November, do come by!

Mike,

Sorry I missed you in Branson. Look me up and say "Hello" to Laurie and me in the Hawaiian room Friday afternoon. I'll be the handsome one in red, white and blue (red excel steel, white hair and blue shirt.)

Mike, The Giants are not playing the Cardinals, so you will have to listen to the world's greatest steel players.

Starla,

Your show on Thursday night had to be one of the highlights of the weekend. Susan and I enjoyed meeing you and Jimmy mucho. Also, it was super to finally meet your dad, Virgil Watts.

Jody, There is life beyond the Giants! The way they have been playing I am very thankful for that.

Mike,

It was good to finally meet you in person. Laurie and I both think that you are just as great a guy in person as you are in emails and phone calls. Thanks for the great reviews you have given my CD's.

Keep up the good music.

Roy,

Thanks so very much for your nice comments. It was fantastic to meet you and Laurie. I have to find time to download the photograph that Susan took but I will send you one as well as putting it in an ISGC-2006 section that I will set up on my "Swingin' West" web site.

Jody,
That would be fantastic if you could make Norwalk. You have many fans that would love to see you. Susan and I admired your Hall of Fame plaque in St. Louis

I am glad that many of you have met Mike Gross and found out what I've known about my friend the 1st time we met in the late 80's.
Once a friend, he is a friend for life.
A more generous and gracious man is very hard to find and Mike is tops. Not to mention his enormous knowledge of Western Swing and steel guitarist all over the world.
