That is a LeGrande. Whenever John came to the UK with Conway Twitty he used a push pull, either a rosewood model or a pale green/blue (teal?). He used to make those guitars sing. Every time I spoke to him, he was always fixing to get a new one, and he told me that he loved the Emmons guitars.

its a fine guitar and Daivd is a great steel player himself John was realy sounding great there
as he always did he is surely missed by us all

Not just on the solo, this is the first video I've seen where there are cheers from the audience each time the steel comes in. Notice that the cheers are not timed to the vocal, as usual, or the fiddle, but strictly to the steel.Richard Sinkler wrote:![]()
