New Show Pro

Post by Andy Sandoval »

Howdy guys and gals. Just received my new Show Pro S-10. Jeff and Gloria were great to work with and replied to my many emails with speedy replies. This guitar is smooth as silk and sounds wonderful with the TrueTone pickup wound at 18.5 with a coil tap at around 11 or 12. Jeff suggested placing the coil tap switch underneath near the changer and it's real easy to reach when playin. I was playin a Sho-Bud Professional D-10 before but I'm quickly adapting to this guitar. It's light as a feather in comparison and the action is so smooth. As I told Jeff, when I unpacked it I set her up and plugged her into my amp and it needed just the slightest tweakin. The first sounds were heavenly with some great tone and sustain. The finish on this guitar is top notch, even underneath the guitar and dig the shiny beautiful undercarriage parts, they're a work of art. I'm a very satisfied customer and am lookin forward to many years of enjoyment with this guitar. Thanks again, Jeff and Gloria for buildin this beautiful guitar for me.

Looks great Andy. As you say, they are great people to work with, and their pride shows in their products. So, when are you bringing it over, or would you rather I come over there?

Andy I think that is the smoothest burst I have ever seen on a steel. Perfect placement and color change. I know the mechanics are first class. What a beauty.

This is one of the best looking PSGs ever, breathtaking, and if it has the tone to match the beauty, you must be in heaven :D
What's the copedant?

Congrats, Andy, well deserved!

Thanks guys. I think this is the same copedant that Jeff uses, it's basically the same as my Sho-Bud but with the addition of raising the second string a half tone to E and the first string to G# instead of G. I haven't used the second string half tone raise yet in my playin but it sounds very nice.

Oh, almost forgot about the beautiful case that this guitar came in which also included a high quality D2F leg and rod bag.

Hi Roger, those string gauges were on my Sho-Bud. I'm gonna ask Jeff what strings he put on it and I'll post it. They seem pretty close to me but now I'm curious.
