Attention Rhode Island Steel Guitar Association members:

Just a reminder that the next RISGA meting is next Sunday August 13 at the American Legion Post 15 in East Greenwich RI. the meeting starts at 1:00 and goes until 6:00.

You can find the directions on the website http://risga.com/meetings.html

New Members are ALWAYS welsome!

The agenda will include a short jam, pot luck lunch (please bring a dish or desert), business meeting and a lot more playing!

Our President, Roger Trahan, has suggested the following list of tunes (and keys) for the jam. For you speed learners, it should help make for a better jam. For the rest of us, at least we will know what chords we are missing! The chord charts are in the newsletter.

Crazy Arms (A)
Mansion on a Hill (C)
Heartaches by the Number (D)
Hey Good Looking (D)
Fool Such as I (D)
Together Again (D)

This is the last meeting before the RISGA Steel Show (September 10) so there will be lots to discuss.

I had hoped to get the Newsletter out by now, but I'm running late (as usual). My apologies to all.

Hey Sam- are you gong to phone your part in? or will you just send us a MP3! Ha We'll miss you.

Jim

Hey guys y'all have a great meeting. It will be better as you won't have to listen to my big mouth.Just Joking.I'm in my Steel Room in the Basement with a freind Bob Hayes who is helping me along with my Steel playing.I have learned a bit from him.We are working on the Timming and the cord changes. He said I'm doing fine.See you all in a few weeks.
